Since Sootopolis and Petalburg's fall, Neon had thrown himself into his work. He had refused to give himself time toto think- to process what he'd lost. And it's heavy. and the worst part is he's got nothing but himself to blame. But before he could wane and spiral into his own self hatred, he had a job to do. More importantly, while all the efforts were so focused on Petalburg, Rustboro was sort of waning. They'd seemed to be in high alert due to proximity, but also a lot of personnel also seemed to have gone to try and support Petalburg. Before everything went tits up anyway.

Even still, as Rustboro gathered it's bearings, some areas were still quite lose with security. At least the tech companies still thrived. Gone for the night, and armed with a few TELEPORTing pokemon, Neon had managed to help his team break into the tech company's warehouse nearby and trotted out a few crates he figured they wouldn't miss. It was somewhat random. He figured there'd be telecommunication parts in them and...hopefully that meant satellites. He wouldn't really know until they got back to HQ and ripped crates open. For now, he floated quietly, keeping watch over his team as they loaded up hidden trucks and secured boxes.

"C'mon guys, you're running low on time." he said, electronic voice eerie when he spoke so quietly. "Stick to our schedule. I don't need any CONTACT tonight."

Nightly patrols were what the Ranger Captains had to do now since the fall of Petalburg. Fresh memories of witnessing the Rocket takeover of the city that was aa neighbor to Rustboro still made her guilty. Petalburg wasn’t her city though, that was Shalin’s territory and her friend was taken custody by Rocket. Elise wonders if the green-haired Ranger Captain was alright, especially since Shalin herself will be interrogated for information…[break][break]

By her side, the floating Calyrex shard comes with her as her partner for patrols like this and he liked the brilliance of the moon up above the sky. Her job for the night was to check with the tech company’s warehouses since they were the least guarded. Near the Rusturf Tunnel, the warehouse comes into their sight. There were crates being carried out and there are people that she wouldn’t recognize as the workers for that tech company.[break][break]

“What do you think you are doing?” She questions while the hare king stays with her. “I do not think you are all workers for the tech company.”

Neon turns to the Ranger Captain confused for a moment before replying, "Overnight warehouse trasnfer." his voice was electronic but still deadpan in a way. Maybe if he pretended he knew what he was doing she'd back off. His grunts, paused but Neon turned his attnetion fully towards the ambassador and her companion.

Calyrex? The emerald gremlin? Now he had her attention. And what a dangerous reality that was. Wide frown immediately turns into a pixelated grin. "And last I checked, you don't look like the Warehouse Inspector." His Wings flutter, a sign for the team to continue their work, albeit more quickly as Neon prepared to fight the woman off. He slides his hand to his side, pulling out a knife and idly spinning it in one hand. jayden cross's dagger would serve him well, once more.

“I wouldn’t be since I don’t work for the company involved.” The ambassador replies while noting that the disguised Rocket spins a knife with one hand. “But I work with the city’s leaders to watch over the surrounding borders.” When it was night time, most of the other people were sleeping.[break][break]

And she’ll have a fight on her hands. The Galarian royal was not the most combat capable and no help from her cousin, who would be too far away, would give her time to learn.[break][break]

But the royal ambassador does notice that the disguised Rocket appeared to be interested in her legendary shard. The hare king moves to protect her too since he thinks she may be in danger.

"Then mind your business, princess. Go eat cake or something." he warned. A glance at her shard and he added. "Before I go shopping for a lucky rabbit's foot." he added. The warning is simple, the grin plastered. Inside the helmet he began swapping through sight modes getting a better picture of her and her partner. He goes form night vision to infrared, checking for immediate backup.

"I don't have body dump on the schedule but I'm sure I can find an easy disposal method." He had one particularly deadly panther pokemon ready to devour a corpse at a moment's notice. He doesn't think he'll need it but he can feel a tug on his bond with his patron. The legendary bird was near enough to do a fly by, if the mood struck. He doesn't think it will.

He doesn't make a move when PSYCHIC energy plucks beautiful feathers from his wings, sending a few flying through to attmept to impale the Calyrex intent on killing it, just as the League had killed theirs.

On her last visit to the Dyna Tree to meet with the League’s Calyrex along with the presence of Navy and his patron, the Sheriff gives a piece of information that Rocket had their own Calyrex too. Was there some reason that this Rocket had all of his hate towards the League’s Calyrex, the one that she held?[break][break]

“You wouldn’t dare harm my hare.” Her tone becomes like the prickly thorns, sharp and cold over the threat to what she considered to be a baby or child she cared for. [break][break]

Sharp feathers shoot towards the Calyrex shard. An intent to kill the legendary shard was there though Elise had half a mind to try and protect her shard. Before the female Galarian royal could keep Charles safe, the hare king decides to take this matter into his own paws…[break][break]

With his bulbous crown glowing bright green, his own Psychic stops the feathers that hurled towards him. A blue glow keeps the feathers up into the air before the hare king’s Psychic drops them to the ground.

"I would." he said. He absolutely would. He'd pop that pimple so fast if he could. If only to teach the meddlesome noblewoman a lesson. His feathers freeze, struggling against the other pokemon's PSYCHIC. He doesn't wait glaring at the Calyrex and his eyes pulsed behind the helmet. He casts a FREEZING GLARE against the hair intent on breaking the PSYCHIC stalemate and pierce the hare. "You shouldn't have butted into other people's business."

He lets his team work as he darts to Elise, pulling one of jayden cross's dagger.

"You might be correct that I should not butt into other people's business, but when you're the one that's committing a crime under my city's jurisdiction, it is my duty to see justice through."[break][break]

As much as she’d dislike it that Rocket would hurt her little hare prince, Elise had no choice but to accept it. A shard that worked for the League’s side would easily be plucked off like the real Calyrex. The Psychic stalemate that her shard was doing with the feathers would be broken as it appeared to be a bit stronger than the shard was. Incidentally, the ambassador herself was being threatened with an attack from the masked Rocket’s dagger.[break][break]

She realizes the danger that both her and her shard are in and quickly releases both her Mismagius and Spectrier to help with their protection. Her Mismagius moves to cloak her mistress in a Phantom Force while the mare’s speed intercepts the sharp feathers with a Psychic, intent on protecting the Calyrex shard from being pierced because of the Freezing Glare’s immobilization. [break][break]

The ambassador and her Mismagius reappear next to the Calyrex’s side. Elise hopes that by sticking close to the shard, she’ll increase her odds of survival with protecting the shard of Calyrex too.
